At Eostregeen, we aim around the world
At Eostregreen, we aim to restore nature around the world for the enjoyment of all humankind while supporting local communities. Each project is meticulously planned, executed, and monitored to ensure the sustainability and health of the newly established forests and ecosystems, while also reducing CO2 emissions globally. We focus on rehabilitating degraded land due to farming or cattle raising, in order to generate ARR carbon credits for the voluntary carbon markets.

Our projects

  • Reforestation of 15,000 hectares in the Campeche region: Our goal is to rehabilitate land near the Términos Lagoon, which has been degraded due to years of cattle grazing. This area surrounds a crucial breeding and nursery ground for the yellow stingray (Urobatis jamaicensis); it is also a nesting site for nationally endangered species such as the hawksbill, green sea, and Kemp’s ridley sea turtles, with particular emphasis on the protection of Kemp’s ridley turtles.
  • Mangroves around the Términos Lagoon: This ecosystem serves as a migratory corridor for at least 33% of Mississippi migratory birds. Additionally, zopilotes (vultures) and jaguars can be found in the area.
  • Local Indigenous Communities: The local indigenous population primarily consists of descendants from the Ch’ol and K’uti’ peoples, comprising approximately 14% of the local population. They face significant vulnerabilities in human and economic development. Historically the south part of Mexico has seen a dispair economic investment in comparison to the northern regions, by focusing on Campeche and the Yucatan Peninsula we can ensure our contribution to the communities will remain where it is most needed.

By focusing on these projects, Eostregreen not only aims to recover and protect critical habitats but also to empower local communities, preserving their heritage and improving their living conditions.
